Tour Museums and Galleries in the Pacific Northwest

Museums in the Pacific NorthwestHere in the Pacific Northwest, our cities have been fully immersed in fall colors and foliage. Cooler weather is upon us and with it a desire to find warmer places to experience during these next couple of months.

Around the Pacific Northwest, museums have been opening their doors with the proper safety measures in mind. Each has its own rules and regulations, so we encourage you to visit each website before you plan your visit. Please also note that the state of Oregon is requiring masks for most indoor and outdoor activities. Below, we’ve gathered a handful of museums and galleries in the Pacific Northwest we have enjoyed visiting this year along with some exhibitions you won’t want to miss out on. Here’s how you can escape the chilly air and discover some incredible art pieces.

Museums and Galleries in the Pacific Northwest

Museum of Glass – Tacoma, WA

Located in the heart of downtown Tacoma, the Museum of Glass focuses on igniting creativity and enriching lives through glass and glassmaking. This contemporary museum hosts impactful and engaging artist residencies along with national traveling exhibitions. Currently, the museum has several different exhibitions on display for visitors to explore into the upcoming year. One of their featured exhibitions, Counterparts: Glass + Art Elements, blends seven elements of art through the grouping of glass and non-glass pieces, showcasing the idea of art-medium inclusivity in the twenty-first century.

Located just below the Seattle Art Museum at the end of a staircase lies the Woodside Braseth Gallery. Elegant and modern, the gallery was established in 1961 and is known as one of the oldest and most respected art spaces in the Pacific Northwest. The museum is known for its expertise in contemporary arts and distinctive exhibitions. The art is centered around the work of Northwest, national and international artists. We invite you to visit their website to view their current fine art pieces.

Our team had the honor of installing these wonderful pieces which are part of Oregon Contemporary’s Special on Loan program, an opportunity for them to showcase artists from around the world. Recently, we decided to partner with Oregon Contemporary on this project. Our team is proud to be a part of this initiative of bringing new art pieces to our community in Oregon.
