Explore Three Art Museums in Seattle

The vibrant city of Seattle has some incredible places to visit and experience art. Known as the cultural hub of the Pacific Northwest, it is a center for creative people and home to an ever-changing, innovative art scene. As the world begins to open back up again, museums across the city have been busy curating exciting exhibits for in-person visits.

Our team has created a Public Art Contest, with the grand prize being two tickets to three of our favorite museums in Seattle. Here’s a look at what these incredible art museums have to offer.

Museum of History and Industry

The Museum of History and Industry is a wonderful place to explore the stories and artifacts of the Pacific Northwest and the Puget Sound. Their goal as a museum in Seattle? To bring a bold and fresh approach to history.

Their new exhibition “Da Vinci – Inventions” brings to life the story of Leonardo Davinci as an artist, inventor, scientist, and much more. The works focus on the creativity and passion behind his projects with interactive and life-size inventions of his work. You won’t want to miss out on exploring creativity with this incredible exhibition on view until January 3, 2022.

Seattle Art Museum

Located one block away from Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum showcases global art collections and special exhibitions from around the world.

Their newest exhibition, “Monet At Étretat”, focuses on the life of Monet during a pivotal point in his career. During the 1880s, Monet was drawn to the seaside town of Étreatat to produce marketable work. This exhibition focuses on ten of his paintings from this time and twelve other works by other artists of his era. Join Monet in his pursuit of impressions by discovering this stunning exhibition.

Frye Art Museum

The Frye Art Museum focuses on local Seattle artists along with those stationed around the world. The museum focuses specifically on contemporary art and community engagement.

Their upcoming exhibit, beginning on September 18th, showcases “Duane Linklater: mymothersside.” This immersive exhibition provides works from all different mediums to address the contradictions of contemporary Indigenous life within settler systems of knowledge, representation, and value. You won’t want to miss exploring this intriguing exhibition that spills over into Frye’s courtyard space.
